The food we ate in San Francisco was so mouth watering we thought it deserved its own post. All things considered, we where very lucky for finding these places as our means of searching was just walking up and down Lombard Street.
The Sandwich Spot
For lunch we stubbled upon a place called “The Sandwich Spot”. After walking around trying to find a place to eat, we poked our heads inside this sandwich place and we were sold. A huge chalk board on the side wall had over 40 unique sandwiches. After about 10 minutes of looking over the board the cook took us aside and assured us we could not go wrong with any sandwich – choose now or you could be looking at the board for hours.
So we both pulled the trigger and the sandwiches were hands down in our top three best sandwiches of all time. For someone like Jason who lives off sandwiches that says a lot.
Jason got:
- The Jack Lucky (Marinated Chicken, Bacon, Avocado, Cheddar Jack Cheese, and Bomb Sauce)
Jeremy got:
- The Mother Clucker (Marinated Chicken, Ham, Swiss, Spicy Dijan, Honey Mustard, Renchies Crispy Fried Onions on Dutch Crunch)
Chubby Noodle
For dinner we decided to try something different. The name itself drew us in: “Chubby Noodle”. The menu was not what we expected. It was small but offered one special dish of all different kinds of food. We ended up getting:
- Spicy Garlic Noodles
- Kung Pow Wings
- Korean Pork Tacos
- BBQ Pork Fried Rice
The flavor was so intense and the dishes hit all the right notes. The Spicy Garlic Noodles started off sweet but ended with a heehaw kick. The Tacos had a tangy marinade that sealed in all the flavors. Not one thing was okay.. they were all unbelievable! We found out at the end that they change the menu every day and today was their 62nd Day open.
Love the updates and am hungry just reading about the food.
holy cow… I just ate lunch and now I’m hungry again …yikes!!
